Join Friends of the Wekiva River and Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System at Lake Norris Conservation Area for the annual Friends of the Wekiva River Camp Out! This is a primitive campsite with no bathrooms or drinking water. Campers should have all their own camping equipment.

Campers will check-in on Saturday, February 26th at 2:00 PM and will have time to set up equipment prior to heading out on Lake Norris for an evening paddle. We will have 4 canoes and 4 tandem kayaks available for campers to use, or you can bring your own paddle equipment.  Limited paddle equipment is available if you need to use provided equipment please register in advance. Register here. After sunset we will return to the campsite where we will build a campfire. Please bring your own dinner items which you can cook over the campfire. We will provide marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers for s’mores! Our guides will lead a casual conversation around the fire about primitive camping in Florida and trail etiquette.
