Registration is required. Register here.

Paddle the section of Rock Springs Run known as Emerald Cut! Together with guides Jim Adamski, President of Friends of the Wekiva River, and Ashley Konon, River Ambassador for the Wekiva Wild and Scenic River, you will travel upstream on the beautiful waters of Rock Springs.

We will travel upstream approximately 1 mile to the boardwalk of Kelly Park. Then we will enjoy drifting with the current for about 2 miles. The return trip to Camp Joy will be approximately 1 mile upstream.

This paddle will be at a relaxed pace with plenty of opportunity for observation. This trip will have some strenuous activity as we paddle upstream through twists and turns and possible portages over downed trees. Kayak or canoe experience is recommended but not required. Participants should bring a water bottle (reusable please!), sunscreen, hats, river or water shoes, and a dry bag for keys, phone, and wallets.

There are some kayaks and canoes available on a first-come-first-served basis. If you are signing up to use provided equipment, please note that you may be paired with another rider in a canoe or tandem kayak.
