RIVER EVENTS

Wekiwa Springs Watch

Join the Wekiwa Springs Watch group to take water quality readings along the spring run. This is a program of the Florida Springs Institute. This group meets monthly at Wekiva Island. Canoe experience is recommended but not required. No other experience is needed! Meet at Wekiva Island (1014 Miami Springs Dr., Longwood FL) around 8:30 AM to launch at 9:00 AM. Paddle the ~1 mile to the Wekiwa Springs State Park bridge as a group. Then take water quality readings at 8 stations on the way back to Wekiva Island. This event can take up to 4 hours. Please bring any supplies you may need along the way, especially water. Please use a reusable bottle. Don’t have a reusable? Let us know so we can help!

The event is held monthly, on the third Thursday of the month.

Registration is required, please click here to email the Wekiva Springs Watch Coordinator to see if a seat is available.
