This paddle has two options:
Option 1: Morning Emerald Cut Paddle
Where: Launch from Kings Landing and paddle upstream to Kelly Park, turn around at board walk and paddle downstream back to Kings Landing.
Distance: Approximately 1.5 miles.
Duration: Launch at 8am, return to Kings landing at 10:00.
Experience Level: Beginner. Participants on this excursion should expect a relaxing pace paddling upstream against a gentle current with few mild turns and obstacles. Paddling experience is recommended.
Option 2: All Day Rock Spring Run Paddle
Where: Continue to paddle downstream to Wekiva Island approximately 8 miles. This is a one-way paddle, please be prepared to drive your paddle craft back to Kings Landing or ride the shuttle.
Distance: Approximately 8 miles (~4.4 miles to Big Buck Camp, 7.39 miles to confluence, ~8 miles to take out)
Duration: Launch at 8am, land at Wekiva Island before 4:00pm shuttle.
Experience Level: Medium. Participants on this excursion should expect to be challenged with twists and turns in the river and avoiding snags. This is a downstream paddle at a relaxing pace. Paddling experience is strongly recommended.
What to bring: lunch or snacks (no glass, Styrofoam, plastic bags), bug spray, sunscreen, reusable water bottle with water, Hats, river or water shoes.
Optional: water safe camera; Paddle ends at Wekiva Island, bring money to buy food or drinks there.
