If you’re passionate about river conservation and community building, and have a background in environmental education and outreach, we want to hear from you!
The River Ambassador is a dynamic, relationship-centered position that serves as a connector, communicator, and champion for the river, working with a wide range of partners to implement the Comprehensive River Management Plan (CRMP) and uphold the Outstandingly Remarkable Values of the Wekiva River.

Job Title: River Ambassador – Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System Management
Committee
Location: Wekiva River area, Florida (Field-based with some remote coordination)

Qualifications
Required:
● Passion for river conservation and community building
● Experience in environmental education, outreach, and community science
● Strong communication and collaboration skills
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
● Comfortable working outdoors in variable conditions and paddling regularly
● Familiarity with or willingness to learn about the Wekiva River and its management plan
(CRMP)
Compensation
This is a contract position. Compensation will range from $45,000 to $60,000 per year and will
be commensurate with experience and available funding from the Department of the Interior.
