Every year we sample four sites around the Wekiva River System for juvenile dragonfly called nymphs or larvae. This year we will be sampling five sites: Lake Norris (complete!), Wekiva Falls, Camp Joy, Wekiwa Springs Run, and Katie’s Landing.

The Dragonfly Mercury Project engages community scientists such as students and teachers in the collection of juvenile dragonflies, also known as dragonfly larvae, from national parks for mercury analysis.
Keep in mind that canoeing/ kayaking will be part of this sample experience. Get ready to explore with us!
